The Butcher Group received the D Magazine Platinum Group Award 2015 and a Five Star Professional rating. The group has also earned the Triple Star level at Ebby Halliday.
She is a member and past president of the local Texas Beta Iota chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary sorority of present and past educators dedicated to serving communities through altruistic endeavors. The Beta Iota chapter raises money for the Fisher House, which provides military families housing close to loved ones during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. The chapter also raises money for the Alzheimers Association, sponsors food drives for local community food pantries and raises scholarship money for future teachers.
In addition to her work with ADK, Carol also volunteers at area schools, serves as chair of the City of Ovilla's Board of Adjustments, and serves as a judge for UIL journalism contests. She previously served on the Gloria Shields All-American Publications Workshop Committee which sponsors a summer workshop for high school journalists and previously volunteered with The Dallas Morning News High School Journalism Day. She also has served as Event Planning Director for the Cedar Hill Pet Memorial Project. She currently volunteers as communications director for the Dallas Police Retired Officers Association.
Carol writes a real estate blog and an education blog. She has a BA degree from Texas Christian University in journalism and English. Her professional memberships include the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors and Metrotex Association of Realtors.
